In common with most other Anglican Churches, we have a system whereby our Diocese house and pay our clergy. We in our turn pay the Diocese an agreed yearly sum, calculated on a variety of factors including the population of our Parish and its socio-economic mix! Our weekly outgoings total just over £1,000 and , in most years, our income matches this figure!

We encourage our Congregation to help to pay these expenses by Standing Order, an Envelope scheme or, of course, by a plate collection at our Services. In particular we try to persuade all our tax payers to sign a simple form which allows us o claim back from the government the tax paidl

An approximate weekly breakdown of our costs is:- Quota to the Diocese £692 (the diocese pay all clergy and their housing costs). Other costs of our Ministry £100. Church running costs (Insurance, utilities etc) £52, Equipment repairs £100 (we had two particularly large billls for repairing electrical installations and our Clock).
